Join us as we step towards a brighter future for all women

March 2025 marks a milestone moment for Smart Works – the end of our three year plan where we hope to meet our target of supporting 10,000 women over the year.

For many women, getting a job is a lifeline. It is a chance to escape poverty, gain financial stability and restore confidence. In the wake of the cost-of-living crisis, the need for our service has never been more pronounced. 

We're creating change and want you to join us - will you Step Up for Smart Works? Your support and vital donations will make a huge difference to our work – providing real support to unemployed women across the UK.

This is Asma's story

Since Asma was a child, she had always dreamed of doing medicine, and had worked towards it all her life. 

However, when the pandemic hit, her caring responsibilities were drastically impacted and her grades declined as a result. Forced to take a gap year and retake her A-Levels, Asma decided to seek a job in a different sector in order to support herself financially throughout the year, leaving her dream of medicine behind. 

Three years later, Asma is now studying a degree in Biomedical Engineering and well on her way to achieving her dream career. She credits Smart Works for supporting her on this journey, and helping her hold onto her dream.

"Smart Works reinforced my potential where I didn't really see much of it anymore. So I kept on with it, and held onto my dream."

How does it work?

  • Walk 10,000 steps a day for the month of March.
  • Sign up in a team (maximum 5 people, but NO minimum) or go solo!
  • You can have as many teams as you like within the one company. Why not compete against each other and see who can raise the most?
  • Join the VIP club and opt for a fundraising target of £400 or above. Enjoy the benefit of exclusive merch and rewards.
